| About CAPSULE |
RATIONALE
It is believed that private sector Business Development Services (BDS) have significant and positive contribution to the growth and health of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the developed countries. Use of professional business development services enables the enterprises to manage their business more successfully and efficiently and thus enhance their competitiveness. Significant proportion of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India has any access to business development services because of multiple factors both from demand and supply side. Usage of BDS by MSMEs is mainly for meeting the legal, regulatory, audit and taxation purpose and usage of other strategic services are very less. BDS providers also do not see MSMEs as a valuable client and don’t market their services amongst MSMEs. Hence a full fledged BDS market for MSMEs does not exist in India. |
GOAL
With an aim to facilitate BDS market development in Hyderabad project location, GTZ has facilitated formation of Consortium of Service Providers to provide necessary support to address the supply side constraints in a sustainable way. Based on the dialogue facilitation and linkages by GTZ, a group of service providers have joined together and formed a Consortium of Service Providers for Upgradation of Enterprises [CAPSULE] in order to serve the sector collectively in an efficient and effective manner.
